Contractor’s Event to Raise Funds for Education Foundation to Help Maine Students Pursuing Construction Careers
New England Patriots Superbowl Champion Rob Ninkovich to Speak
A new effort to help increase the education and training of Maine’s workforce includes raising money to increase the capacity of the association’s education foundation. On Friday, May 17, 2019, the Chapter will hold an event at the Freeport Hilton Garden Inn from 6 PM-10PM.
The event will feature a silent auction, live auction, and live music. Guest speakers will include Past Presidents, Former New England Patriot Outside Linebacker Rob Ninkovich, UMaine and Chapter CEO.
Since 1989 foundation has distributed $438,700 to Maine students with a current total market value of $504,588. The total amount raised in the most recent effort will be announced tomorrow.
The scholarship program is part of a bigger plan to support the need for a new generation of skilled workers. The competitive scholarship program currently awards on a competitive basis to two and four-year postsecondary pursuits for students attending a Maine institution.
