“Eldon Morrison has led by example and engaged himself and his company in the political process.  He served as a donor, fundraiser, counselor, campaign manager, industry leader and advocate.  He has taken responsibility for his piece of the pie.  Eldon exemplifies meaningful civic involvement.  Nobody will ever wonder if Eldon Morrison made a difference in is state or in his industry.  If every member of the business community was as engaged in this political process that we all own, as Eldon is, then our state, and our nation, would be a much better place,” said AGC Maine CEO John O’Dea.

AGC Maine Vice President Ken Grondin of R.J. Grondin & Sons Construction in Gorham added that Morrison has done a great deal for the industry and that the “entire industry has benefited from your efforts”.

Over the past 25 years, Eldon has grown his company from one employee to over 100 and has turned CPM Constructors into one of New England’s premier bridge contractors, noted by Senator Susan Collins in taped congratulations viewed at the ceremony.

Eldon was joined by his family including his wife Dianne, his children and grandchildren. Senators Phil Harriman and Senator Kevin Raye both made remarks about his accomplishments.
